Am Sunday, May 21, 2023, the museum landscape celebrates International Museum Day. For this occasion, the Bad Rappenauer BikiniARTmuseum offers a free participation in a live reading by author Anne-Kathrin Kilg-Meyer at the 1st International Museum of Bathing Culture.

In focus: swimming icon Gertrude Ederle, who was the first woman to swim across the English Channel in 1926 and is now the protagonist of a new Disney film.

Author Anne-Kathrin Kilg-Meyer tells in her book published in 2020 “Gertrude Trudy Ederle — A Swimmer Changes the World” For the first time, the big story about a pioneer of women's sports in the language of the German ancestors Ederles. On Sunday, May 21, 2023, at 2 pm at the BikiniARTmuseum in Bad Rappenau, she will read excerpts from her sensitive biography. Visitors can then view the museum's exhibition on their own.
